Shake any family tree.... you're bound to get a few nuts.

Thursday, March 25, 2004

I was watching TV a couple of nights ago and between switching from channels 28, 30, 50, and 57 in fifteen minutes, I saw four tampon commercials.

As a heterosexual male, I have no reason to even be seeing these. I don't need a tampon.

Ladies, when I see these ads on TV, it really makes me wonder. Do you slip one on and then magically feel rejuvenated and get all active? I never see a "Playtex" or "Always" (yes I'm talking about maxi pads too) commercial without some 30 something female acting like the independent 90's female she is and can now take on all of the world's problems now that she has something to absorb her menstrual fluids.

Do women really talk to each other and say:

"Wow. I can't believe you're still using pads. Here, try one of my tampons. It'd twice as absorbent as the leading brand." as you're going through an amusement park or something similar?

It actually disturbs me to find out you left for vacation without anything. I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with these if they didn't involve a story line like a boat with a hole in the bottom and Suzie Whatserface pulls out a tampon and saves the day by showing how absorbent it is.

There is a place for Tampax and Maxi Pad commercials. And it belongs in Oprah's magazine and NOT while I'm trying to watch Chapelle's Show.

ok

i'm mad

it's 2am... i just got home from my SECOND job.

i have to be at work for my FIRST job in 7 hours.

but while i was gone.... i had my vcr programmed to record some shows that i was bound to miss

problem....

SOMEONE WAS IN MY ROOM

probably kids...

the PS2 looks like it was used... and the vcr was stopped

now i've told my mom and sister's time and time again, to not let people into my room when i'm not home.

even today, the kids who were at my house asked me 3 times if they could play my PS2. and 3 times i replied, "not today"

stinkin little bastards

so rather than blow a fit in the wee hours of the morning, i decided to write my sister a note:

ranbir- 1st off: way to park the car! i appreciate it when i come home from work and notice your car taking up TWO parking spaces... no really, i do

2nd: why do you guys let kids into my room when i've told you guys time and time again not to!!!???! the VCR was set to record shows that i wasn't able to see tonight SINCE I'M AT MY SECOND JOB, but now there is nothing recorded

thanks for the respect

simply put... i'm putting a lock on the door this week... enough is enough

Bombs go off in a packed commuter train in Spain. 200 dead and at least a thousand more injured.

Worst terrorist attack since al Queda (who are also believed to be linked to this) crashed the planes into the WTC.

Yet the first thing on the news that day, and the front page of the newspapers the following morning focus on none other than the Todd Bertuzzi suspension.

All this time they've been speaking of the ethics of hockey, and they lost the ethics of journalism.

Bertuzzi... what you did man?
